Before First Application
If using Hardrock Polishing Cream as a final polish after resurfacing with diamond abrasives, go to step one under "Polishing the Floor".
Important!! Before applying first treatment of Hardrock Polishing Cream, the floor must be completely cleaned to remove any traces of dirt, wax, or other topical coatings.
Strip the floor with Hardrock Marble Stripper.
If the floor has visible grout between the tiles, clean with a stiff brush or scraper.
After stripping, rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water and a clean mop.
Polishing the Floor
Shake the Hardrock Polishing Cream well before using and apply 3-4 tablespoons on the floor in a circle approximately the same size as the buffing pad.
Place your buffing pad and machine on top of the Hardrock Polishing Cream on the floor.
Start buffing the cream in a 3'x3' area. Add any polishing cream that is necessary while buffing to keep a slight slurry on the floor. If it appears the cream is getting too dry, spray a little water on the floor to achieve desired consistency. Every few minutes, stop and check floor periodically to see if desired shine has been achieved.
Once desired shine has been achieved, mop floor with Hardrock No Rinse Neutral Cleaner to remove any polish residue.
Maintenance
Sweep the floor to remove dirt, dust or other grit. Spills should be cleaned up as soon as possible with clean water.
Damp mop floor daily or as often as possible with Hardrock No Rinse Neutral Cleaner.
Hardrock Polishing Cream should be applied on a regular schedule to preserve shine. If used on a regular basis, one treatment should restore the shine.
You do not need to do entire floor during each maintenance. High traffic areas may be touched up to restore an even shine.
